Hello Kitty Ambassador

Hello Kitty is the Official Ambassador of the Japanese Pavilion at the Milan Expo 2015.

For the universal fair, Hello Kitty wears a cherry blossoms flowered, scarlet kimono and lime green obi along with her trademark red bow.

She cuts the ribbon at the
pavilion’s opening ceremony on May 1st and she will accompany visitors on tours of the health and edutainment focused pavilion during the six-month long Expo.

On May 2nd and May 4th she will be attending a special workshop dedicated to the traditional Japanese food culture at Anteprima store in the city center, and she‘ll be meeting and greeting fans and supporting the teacher during the cooking lessons. On May 4th, in the morning, she will be attending a reception at the Japanese Pavilion for the Minister of Agriculture.

From June 25th to July 13th Japan will take over of Palazzo delle Stelline (satellite Expo venue). Hello Kitty will attend the closing party and, as ambassador, she will meet and greet all the guests including the Italian and Japanese Prime Ministers.

July 11th will also be the Japan Day. A celebration of Japan at Expo: Hello Kitty has been asked to attend several initiatives throughout the day. She will be opening the parade with Doraemon and she will customise every iconic element used by the dancers. On this special occasion the 6 prefectures of Fukushima will thank the world for the support received after the disaster. We’ll keep you posted about all the other activities and events!
